The Highly Skilled Migrants Programme (HSMP) enables a person to work for an employer in the UK or to be self-employed. The person working for an employer is not required to have a fixed job offer or other work before they arrive in the UK.
Fees. Applicants under HSMP are free to change employers when they wish, and to work as consultants or start up their own business.
Qualifying for Highly Skilled status depends on points awarded for a number of attributes.
